Birkrigg stone circle on Birkrigg Common where i wild camped last night. This is the Winter Solstice Morning
Birkrigg stone circle – Druid’s Temple or Druids’ Circle. Might be a Bronze Age stone circle on Birkrigg Common. consists of two rings of stones, the outer measuring 26 m and consisting of 15 stones and the inner being 9 m wide and consisting of 10 stones. None of the stones is more than 0.6m tall.
I got the train from Birmingham to Lancaster with a ticket i booked in advance to travel on 17th December which coast me £12 From Lancaster i got the stagecoach bus for 1 week travel by public transport via bus on Stagecoach with a North West 7 day megarider Gold ticket you can buy it on the bus with cash or card, Online or via the Stagecoach app. This covers all the Lake District national park and Cumbria and all way from Lancaster for just £29. My return ticket from Lancaster to Birmingham i booked in advance to travel on the 23 December for just £24. So my total travel coasts to get there and travel every day the week on a bus in the Lake District and then back to Birmingham was £65
